    Default tyre pressure for GSI

    hi all,

i've tried a search but still unsure...

the book says 40psi for my GSI, but it really seems too much for normal driving...

would be interested in other GSI owners views on this...

    cheers,

    ian b

That sounds about right, Z32SE engine I presume
    up to 18 inch wheel
    38 front / 35 rear - manual
    39 front / 35 rear - automatic
    19 inch wheel
    44 front / 39 rear

    cool -- yup it's the 3.2...

these figures make sense as it's a fair size lump over the front wheels... but 40psi on the rear...

anyway, i'll give them a try...

    many thanks,

There's no mention of 40 on the rear...
Up to 18 they are 35 on the rear
They need to be increased for 19 due to the tyre volume, but even they it's only 39 on the rear with the fronts being 44, so the difference front - rear is still about 5

It has just occured to me that the tyre pressures may be slightly different depending on manufacturer year, which may be where the 40 comes from
However, they shouldn't be that different
From your profile it is a 02MY, so looks to be the same manual as mine
