put mine on the screen as low down as it will go......iirc someone has fitted his where the vx screen is
in the centre of screen right at bottom touching the dash
I mount mine bottom right of windscreen on dash.
Mine's low down by the A-pillar, screen-mount positioned so the unit ends up just behind the vent. Route the cable using the column shroud and up the side of the binnacle. Keeps everything as clear as possible in the swept area of the front screen.
The other day I followed a Pug 107 with their unit almost bang in line with the driver's view, which surely is the dumbest place - why watch the real road when you can watch a cartoon of it, eh?!
As I have posted before:- obtain two elastic bands from you local posty, they tend to throw them all over te place as it is. Loop them into the air vent just to the left of the instument panel and slide the sat navinto the loop of the bands. This keeps it off of the screen and it does not have backlight to detract for the display; with the power point take-of just below in the ciggy lighter. It also leaves not tell-tale markes on the screen to tell everyone the you have a sat nav in the car.
