Thread: how do you remove sticky stuff from your dash?

    Default how do you remove sticky stuff from your dash?

    it looks like sombody at some stage has had one of those horrible tacky poppy coral things stuck on my dash,there is still a part of the adhesive left,any ideas what product will get rid of the said offensive mark without damaging the dash?

    What have you tried? the usual plastic cleaner? dabbed at it with sticky tape? groundnut oil? warm soapy water?
    Never understood why anyone would stick something adhesive on their dash...........no sense some people........

    i hate sticky crap,i havnt tryed anything yet to be honest,knowing my luck what ever i use will have some sort of bad reaction with the dash and il need a new one!!

    I would use panel wipe as its very good at getting rid of glue spots/staines etc. If you have none try some turps but only a bit on a cloth and then use a dasboard detailer to bring back to the same as the rest of the dash

    i tryed this on a previous vectras dash and it went a pale grey colour,not good

    what is the sticky stuff ? some times just a good rub with your thumb will do the trick,

    was a valeter for seventeen years and i alwaya used A/G glass polish followed by hot soapy water
