Is this dirty??

no...im afraid its not pictures of nude ladybirds !!!...but picture of my 2.0DTI fuel filter. Thought id give it a change and bleed the water out. Not as dirty as i thought it might be...but then i dont no if its meant to be really grimey?

what do you guys think...did it need changing or could it have given me more miles easily?

It's nowhere near some I've changed, but I'd change it anyway, it can only be beneficial to the pump and injectors, so that will be beneficial to your wallet also in the long run, they perform a bit better with a new filter anyway.

fair enough...was well worried about changing it as i am aware of fuel pump failure if its not primed enough!!!..but topping up the filter housing with derv done the trick...started straight away after the change!!
