    Default reversing sensors

    Hi all

I've just started emptying the boot ready to start taking off the rear bumper to fit parking sensors. Am I best to disconect the battery for this job and if so which lead should i take off, Pos or neg. Also will this affect the radio when i reconnect?

    Thanks in advance.

If you are disconecting the battery you WILL lose the radio code ( but I think if it is a later face lift you don,t?). It is best to disconect the Negative terminal. ( -)

The alarm might go off when you reconect the battery, have your keys at hand just in case.

It might also go off when you disconnect the battery as the power sounder has a backup battery (or at least it used to). The procedure was to turn on the ignition and turn off, then disconnect the battery within 15 seconds to prevent the alarm from sounding. Might not apply to newer Vauxhalls though.
