How many people have drove past your vec then panicked thinking your unmarked plod?

had a bmw go past me earlier tanking it at at least 110mph i was wearing a black jacket and had my second mirror in windscreen (so I can see little one on back) he glanced at me and slowed down sharpish...

on another occasion a blokes under body gaurd was falling off his car on m1 dragging on floor and praying stones and sh17 everywhere. i flashed him with headlight to pull over to let himknow (he was oblivious to it) he said effing hell mate i thought you was a copper.

fools think all vec are unmarked plod cos of things like road wars pmsl

Happened to me almost first time I drove it - Jag driver on A1 doing about 90 past me in torrential rain - I pulled out to pass the National Express coach that we'd both been closing on, got deluged with spray, had already got headlights on and put front fogs on too (grey car, grey day, grey water - didn't want the bus driver to miss me) just while I passed the coach - the Jag driver dropped sharply to just over what the bus was doing and pulled over ASAP.

I later found out W. Yorks force had specced a bunch of cars in similar colour with identical alloys at the same time. I normally wear a black jacket too, fitted bomber-jacket style that just happens to epaulettes - great silhouette!

Yep! happend all the time in the estate! quite funny watching people pull over on the m-way into inside lane and suddenly start doing 60mph....... dare i say, it gave me a bit of a buzz too

i used to have a white veccy b on a 51 plate and i had lots of fun with that as the local traffic cops had the same but on a 52 reg.

Being in the Royal Navy, my uniform is White Shirt, Black tie, Blue Jumper... with Black Epaulettes... (Dont normally wear the jumper in car) and as I drive at the weirdest times, normally leave 0330ish to get to Greater London for a 0500 start, also the car has the tinted windows at the rear... Then add the large Pioneer Satnav Headunit in the middle (Looks like a ANPR setup - LOL) and blind spot mirror... If you just glanced in, you'd think I was a copper, and ALOT of people do glance in at that time of the morning! Especially on the M1, in their BMW's, Audi's and Mercs! They all suddenly slow right down and I normally end up having to overtake them after they've shot past me!!

Nah, don't notice any of that in mine.
I drove a silver Volvo S80 for a while - now that was quite strange. Traffic cars around here at the time were all Volvos.

lol. This thread is amazing - I thought it was just me!
Driving a black veccy, mostly wearing a black jacket, I often get people pulling in and slowing down - presumably thinking it's a police car! The Derby police have some unmarked black vectras lurking around so I guess that contributes to it!
I quite like it - if it stops one or two people speeding and puts the sh!ts up them, then great!
