No heating or blowers!

Can anyone help, ive no heating or blowers in my 03 2.2 sri. Turn the heater control an makes no difference it still freezing! The speed control will only turn to 3 as well? Any ideas? Could it be the resistor ive seen a few threads about?

resistor, often caused by a sticking motor.

Ive put in a new resistor and had to put in a new pod as well, thing is when i start up and the blowers are on 1 or the air con is on theres a high pitched sqeeking noise from the passenger side vent, Can anyone help? Please dont say i need a new motor!

OK I won't..... but you probably do.

Remove the pollen filter, squeeze your hand through and see if the fan rotates freely. If not the bearings are seized and you will need to replace the motor.

It's probably been caused by water ingress because of a blocked drain in front of the pollen filter. There is a big oval hole in front of the base of the pollen filter with a rubber pipe that tapers to the not so open end. Make sure this is clear and draining and check it regularly or you'll be replacing the motor again all too soon.
