Saw one today in the flesh - '58' plate - and I was mighty impressed. Looks every bit an executive cruiser - not flash or sporty - but really elegant. Anyone else seen one?
The title should have been 'Skoda Superb' Mods please change. Thanks.

my director has one, its very nice got some nice gadgets including the tailgate. press a button on key and the bootlid opens like a saloon. Press and hold it when closed and the 3rd brakelight pops on and the whole tailgate opens like a hatch with the back window. it has umbrella's in the armrests of the rear doors and just nice wee touches.
Seen a taxi skoda superb around Manchester city centre where I work and the first time I saw it I had to look twice, couldn't believe it was really a skoda.
Yep, a real improvement on the previous model, IMO here
Well gone are the days when you can double the value of a Skoda by filling it up.
very nice,...come a long way aint they, i used to get dropped to school in a skoda favroit and i had the pi55 ripped out of me for ages....dam you dad!!!
I trust this one is to get me out from hiding?
There's a lot more to the car than just looks, the little touches Skoda put in make a real difference, things like illuminated handles, lighting in all footwells, doors and even under the mirror's, then there's the Skoda factor, I often get....wot cars this mate, when I tell them they say one of two things, 1 yer joking, or 2 eugh not a Skoda, I call #2 the ignorant's tbh because if I said it was a Passat they'd be saying ooh a VW how nice, now here's the ace with the new model, in pictures it looks like an afterthought, especially the rear, but otr it looks as John said elegant, it doesn't try to do hey look at my curves aren't I modern and sexy, it's almost like putting Brittany Spears alongside Keeley Hawkes, both look raggable, but one drinks lager and the other a martini, one is blond with all the other blondes and one is naturally attractive to the man who want's a less common filly.
Certainly are good looking cars in the pics, but how big do they look in the metal in comparison to the Vec-C's.....?
I live in the Waterloo area myself, the one I saw was black, I swept passed it on the Southport Bypass by Ince Blundell (as you do) and just wondered what it was and it stopped alongside me at the lights at College Road in Crosby. Initially reminded me a bit of the old Nissan Maxima V6. Only realised it was a Skoda when I saw the grill and the badges. Lots of styling cues from the Passat, BMW and even Mercedes every bit the executive cruiser. In side profile even like the Insignia. Looks 'cool', 'menacing' and 'elegant'. I had a teacher at school who had a Skoda Estelle and he never ever washed it, it never broke down and just bought a new one every three years. It was not a style statement, but the Superb is.
