    Default DEAD - My '53 3.2 Elite :(

    Gents

    Not sure if anyone can help, but would really appreciate some advice from fellow C owners.

    I took my 3.2 (on a 53 plate), Elite Estate into my local garage to have the front o/s coil spring replaced. It had snapped - as incidentaly has the n/s one about 10 months ago. Anyway, weird and annoying as that is, it was only the start of the problem!

    I parked it outside, and left them the key. Next morning when they came to do the work, it wouldn't start - just clicked. Battery OK, Alternator OK etc.. etc.. To cut a long story short, it ended up having to be trailered across to my local VX $tealers who have diagnosed a knackered Engine Management module. They're after, wait for it, £950 of the Queens best British pounds to sort it out. I'm pretty bl**dy gobsmacked TBH and am at something of a loss as I've only last week been offered a p/x value of £2700 for it.

    Any thoughts from you learn-ed Gentlemen? - a cheaper way to sort it would be ideal!!!

    Thanks for reading

    <depressed>

    Rich.

    I hope you replaced both springs 10 months ago and not just one. Also isn't there someone on here breaking a 3.2? Could that be used as spares????
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!
