Is this all in my head
My tyre dealer swapped the Bridgestones over this morning for the XL rated Goodyears
On the way there (9 miles) the car felt like a jelly baby, (wibbly wobbly world of its own) it seemed that the tyres were giving too much when i turned corners and the ride felt VERY soft
after the tyres were swapped over, on the way back, the car felt a lot tighter, and ride was definately more solid feeling on the road
is this just down to the wrong rated tyres or was it like a placebo playing with my mind?
not at all. i remember changing brands on my Manta once. put a new pair on the rear and they honestly felt like they were half inflated. i got used to them over a week or so.
Tyre pressures..?
Tyre pressures were fine, they only blow them up to what you request, so they were all the same pressure on both journeysOriginally Posted by Dan_BlackSRi

just give it a few gentle miles as well before you give them any handling tests as it might bite you in the ar5e!
I always do anyway, 2 full tanks of fuel before i try to find out there limit
even worse on a bike
New tyres take a while to bed in,after 150 or so miles you should be roarin.
The Xl's do give a harder ride due to the thicker sidewalls
