    Default Calling SRi owners

    Hi,

I recently had the front springs on my 3.0CDTi SRi replaced. I think, although not positive, that it seems higher now than before. The springs are standard SRi Vx ones (i.e no additional lowering).

Can I ask a big favour and that you chaps with an SRi, (not sure if it is important whether it is 1.9 or 3.0), measure the distance from the top of the tyre to the wheelarch. Mine is 50mm. As I say, it looks higher now but it may just be my imagination.

Any feedback would be gratefully received.

Perhaps they have fitted regular springs, I think it takes a while to settle down too.

This is my concern. I will keep an eye on it settling but it would be great to get hard evidence from other SRi owners on the gap between tyre and wheelarch.

I have the uprated lower springs on my Elite. One snapped a few months ago and they replaced them. The car deffo looked higher and I queiried it with the dealer and they did put the right springs on, that were lowered

Thanks for the replies gents. Can I really expect the springs to settle?? I am tempted to go back to the dealer to question them.

Have you got part number of the springs that were fitted from your invoice? If so post it up and I'll confirm what specific parts they were.
