Just seen it on the news. Jeez, thats a big one. Not a good sign for the sport.

theres been talk of another 2 teams that may not make the start of the season.
Heard on the midnight news that Honda F1 team is up for sale lock stock & barrell,if not sold within 4 weeks it will dis-appear,that must have come as a surprise as they had been test Bruno Senna as a possible replacement for Rubens B,with the leadership they have had over the past year and the develpoment of the 2009 car I would have thought that 2009 was going to be good for them..
Will other teams follow ?
Oops sorry!! did not see this thread when I did one on the same thing![]()
WoW
Not good for F1.
In the current climate and global slowdown I suppose it is inevitable that companies are cautious. After all it doesn't look good when a company pays off thousands of workers but spends extravagant amounts of money on a F1 setup. (Even accounting for the gained revenue generated).
You can only expect more teams to follow and a ripple effect through other racing sports.

Feel sorry for the workers at Brackley. But being a Jenson Button fan, I'm right angry
After watching Lewis do well last year I was all set up for this to at least be the year when Jenson can be challenging for podium places. They ditched the development of last years car at the beginning of the season, to concentrate on the 2009 car, things were looking good.
These things are planned in advance everyone has known that things are hard, even Honda. But do they tell JB in advance so that he can at least look for a good seat next season, no. So now if they don't get a buyer he is out of a drive for 2009. Annoyed, but probably not as much as him!!
