Arrow Autobrite meets a little black beetle - Valentined with Valentines!

Today was the day for a Winter exterior Protection Detail on a VW Beetle Convertible for a birthday present for my friends wife. The couple had recently been on holiday for a weekend and he had not told his wife about the surprise car for her birthday when they returned home! He left it with us for a day or too and we treated it with a good bath and a coat of Valentine's Concours Carnauber Wax. There was no correction in this detail.

Unfortunately we not have any before pics as the battery ran out and we had to put it on charge.

We treated this car to a good hot foam bath and we used various tools and chemicals to clean it.
We applyed Autobrite 'Citrus Degreaser' to arches and lower half of the sills. We then jetted it off to reveal a clean surface. We then applied Autobrite 'Very Cherry Acid Free Wheel Cleaner' to all wheels and let it penetrate for approx 3 minutes. We then jetted it off to reveal a clean surface with no agitation needed. We then applied the 'Citrus Degreaser' to the fabric roof all over the panel. We then took a hard upholstery sponge and agaitated the roof to remove the dirt. We rinsed and it left a clean and moss free area. After that was the foam bath for the car and the product was used was 'Autobrite Super Snow Foam' We gave it a good bath and used a lambswool mitt and rinsed. Now we have a clean car we dryed it with a Autobrite 'Plush Microfibre Towel'..

After the drying stage we got the car inside and a started to work on the interior. The car had a cream leather interior and there were signs of quite a few stains and excessive dirt. We cleaned the leather with our leather cleaner and a leather brush and went to work. A quick spruce up inside the car and then it was time for the Valentines!!:

The paintwork could really do with a full correction as there were signs of swirling and fine scratches all over the car. The car was a 55 reg and could do with a few more hours spent on it, but my colleague was a trader and as soon as mentioned what we would charge for a correction - he went white and decided not to comment:

So we applied the Valentines panel by panel as we feel that you dont have to leave it for too long and you do get better results by only concentrating on one panel at a time IMHO. It went on beautifully with the smell of vanilla it was a real pleasure to apply. After the wax was applied to the panel we buffed off with a fresh clean soft microfibre cloth to reveal a fantastic and glorious shine!!

By this time the battery did recharge a bit and we took some after photos and we hope you like? Guess what we found when we got the car outside -- SNOW!!!!!!!!

As you can imagine the look on her face when he showed her the car was a picture in itself.

    Enjoy and thanks for reading!
