Default Dont slip on the ice......

Off to work i went this morning, came slowly round a bend in Worcester which goes round to the right and also down and this happened.....

The car decided , even though i was turning the wheel slightly to the right, to carry straight on into the kerb rather than as i was directing it....

Tried to brake (well pumped the brake) but just carried on...oh well another alloy that need refurb

Rotten luck but lucky as well!

I did exactly the same thing in my last car - Astra G. Crawling along on an icy estate road, just started to turn for a right corner and car decided it knew better and carried on straight ahead. I can't have been doing more than just over 5mph. Car slid, the wheel smacked the kerb - new wheel as well as tie rod, suspension arm, shock, bearing! and steering knuckle!

I did a proper job!! lol had to claim on insurance as it was around £800 I think all in!

Hope yours is literally just the wheel needing refurbed and more than likely needing realigned.

Pumping the brake? Your ABS broken, or can you pump faster than the ABS?

What sort of Whoflungdung tyres are those anyway? Chinese tyres don't work for **** in this country, as they're designed for use in mid-20's temperatures, not -2.
