Ok, so we are expected to have heavy snowfall tonight. I'm considering putting my standard remap back on the 1.9 CDTI (150) on the thinking it may be easier to control in the snow than with the BSR map. Any thoughts?

Yeah more analog rather than digital.
i would leave it for now as the forecast is blizzards for tonight
last time they forcast snow around my end it ended up being sunny cloudless skys.
im sure they just say it going to be bad just to cover their arses.
had snow yesterday in scunthorpe and mine was fine with BSR map but not the 19" Alloys!!!!!
No problem leaving map on. You'll just press harder without it anyway.
Some believe that a BSR remap reduces the intervention of Traction Control as power delivery is smoother. I'd leave it on.
Ah, BSR remaps! Reducing tyre grip for 10 years!
keep the revs below 2500 & be gentle with the pedals & you shouldn't have any problems.
