Signum Boot Mod

I was walking home from work last night and saw a black Porsche Cayenne. Noticed they have a strip of aluminium along the boot just under the back window. Thought it would look nice on the Signum, have photoshopped one on mine, but searches on Ebay/Internet don't seem to turn up anything I could use.

I think it looks good, just need to think of a way to do it.

Could something like a door kick plate be modified and trimmmed down??

Possible, I was hoping that someone did a Porsche one at not too much money as I think it has a slight lip that curves under the window glass. Didn't want to go snooping too much round someone's Cayenne in the middle of Brum though!

I'm going to have a search around the net to see if there is anything that could be adapted.

You could get something like THIS Chris then cut it to size and stick it on.

Worth a try and certainly cheaper than buying a strip of ally.

Worth a look. Do you think that stuff has much thickness to it?

Not too sure on the thickness but at £6.50 it's worth a shot.

On closer inspection it seems to be an inlay on the Cayenne, see below, so a thin piece might not be so bad.

tell you what that's not bad BUT you see where the reverse light are in silver is you DEbadged it the followed that line through with the strip i think that could work better ?

On my previous Siggy I put a chrome strip at the lower part of the boot lid, looked factory made
