    Default Leather seats and 'dents'

Took the child seat out of the back of my car about a month ago. There were some 'dents' in the seat that haven't come out. I thought they might disappear in time, but they show no sign of disappearing.

    Any tips?

Use some good leather conditioner and cleaner all so try a hair-dryer on the dents gently heat the area where its dented and massage them, dont have the hair-dryer on full heat tho

    Taken from another site HTH

1..Start at the first dent. Apply on a lubricating gel made for leather.
2..Aim hair dryer at dent and blow hot air. Keep the dryer on a low setting.
3..Monitor the heat so it doesn't burn the leather. If the leather absorbs the lubrication without popping out, reapply more lube and continue until the dent vanishes.

thats wot im concerned about if i end up keeping the signum and the baby seat on me irmscher leather seats but suppose it only be a carry seat as we be keep on taking it out the car so it may not be as bad but its thought in the seat being sat on the leather i` may just refit a design interior back in and use it as normal which be much easier.

Can't you put a bit of card or thin plastic under the seat to disperse the pressure? Might look naff but it's only an idea?

I dont have Leather in my current Vectra but in my old 407 i did have it and used one of these to spread the load of the seat and stop it slipping. Picked ours up from the baby section in Halfords, think it was about £15 and well worth the money.

Some marks do still appear on the actual seats but they came out within a couple of days.

You'll have to prop the child seat up on house bricks Andy .

I believe that when upholsterers fit leather, they use steam to remove any dints and creases.
