Default 1.9CDTi 150 Exhaust System Options

Just wondering what exhaust people would opt for in terms of power gains on the 1.9CDTi 150 model (pre-facelift)

Currently running a caterman box and pipercross panel filter with the airbox mod. Looking for something fairly subtle in terms of styling.

MIJ and Blueflame seem like good options...

As long as you haven't got a DPF, which I don't think the pre-facelifts do, you can get a full de-cat system made up. It will pass the MOT smoke test no problems, and you'll get noticeably more torque

How much as an estimate paul and given im already sitting around 300lb-ft that's surely likely to result in clutch slip?

I think MIJ would be around £400 probably, and the gearbox is rated at 400lbft so you should be OK for a little while yet

The F40 gearbox on the cdti range is rated at 295lbft (400Nm).

Coincidentally the highest torque output of any standard car in the Vectra C range is,yes you've guessed it!,295lbft.

The reason why the V6 diesel only received an upgrade to 184PS and 295lbft (400Nm) from 177PS and 273lbft (370Nm) is because of the limitations of the clutch/gearbox.

You would also have to believe that the clutch on the V6 is much beefier than that fitted to lesser models!
