Have you ever owned a Vauxhall Vectra B?

Hi guys!

If you've ever owned a Vauxhall Vectra B, you may want to take a look at this:



Polish nation-wde TV station named TVN Turbo in show called "Great competition of Tuning Operation" starts competition between auto-clubs.

The audience can choose between two presented cars to select the best modified car - by simple internet voting.

This time it is VW Golf Mark II vs Opel Vectra B - representing our polish Vectra A/B/C owners club and forum, Vectra Klub Polska (http://forum.vectraklub.pl, check the "Foreign Affairs" and "Nasze auta" sections to see more of our Vectras (including pre and facelift C and Signums))

Anyway, the point is:

Please take a look at

Short list of changes that Sonar (the owner) made to the car (2.5v6 '97) himself:

- Xenon headlights
- dimmed rear lights
- "bad look" but NOT using lame eyebrows - by modyfying the whole bonnet
- hand made car audio in white leather
- hand polished engine cover (and a lot of other engine parts)
- Omega MV3.0 camshafts +K&N + remap
- lowtec dumpers + enzo springs
- minor interior changes
- Irmscher body kit and exhaust (bought on ebay, one part after another)

Let me say that again: the guy did all of this (except for the remap) himself, and the list is not complete.
Impressive, isn't it?

I had a Vec B - voted for the Vectra too, still on 54% infavour of the Vec.

Thanks guys, we really appreciate your votes. If you'd have any questions about the car or the mods - please ask here I'll be more than happy to answer them (I've owned a VB estate myself and when I'll finally get really rich I'll buy one again - in order to make it like this one )

Although Vectra B is 12 years old (MY '96) it's still elegant and sleek - if cared for properly, still can catch an eye on the road. Beautiful car..

I've had a Golf mk2 and a Vectra B and have to admit I much prefer the Golf so that's where my vote went!!

To be honest - we were kind of surprised when we saw that it will be Vectra B vs Golf Mark II - it would be more fair (although less in our favor I suppose) if our opponent would be VW Passat B5. This particular Golf MkII was in quite good shape and you can see that the owner cares for it - but still, it should be placed against Astra I or Kadett (same era, same class).

Voted for the vec, it's very close, 1/2 a percent in favour of the vec at the mo!
