Default Few questions before i pick my sri up..

    Hello people.

    i have just traded in my clio 182 sport for a pre-facelift 2005 vectra c 150 cdti sri (30k)

i have been using this forum for about a week now, just to familarise myself with things.

i would just like to ask a few simple questions which you will all know straight away, but being new to vauxhall i havent got a scooby doo....

    here goes

    1. im wanting to fit the better steering wheel, one with thumb grips, but how will i know if the vectra has half or full canbus? currently car has scrol buttons on wheel
    2. what are the service intervals? millage?
    3. known problems to look out for on pre-face list 150 cdti (when i pick it up would like to know what to look for)

cant actually think of the all the questions now lol. will have more once i pick it up in next few days.

thanks guys and look forward to using vectra-c.com

Hi mate if it has scroll buttons it will be full canbus
I thought the services intervals were 20k
The main problem that always sticks in my head is the DMF Dual mass flywheel

oh no, not another car with dual mass,, my bora was a pain in the arse with dual mass. oh well

is that a good thing it being full canbus, ive seen a steering wheel on ebay so that is more than likely compatible??

any more info on the sri 150 cdti would be great. i know there alot on the forum but i dont know what to look for or at first lol.

one question i do have. what should the clutch pedal feel like on a 30k sri 150??? should there be any vibrations or anything?? just so i know before i pick it up

Bob on, the DMF is noticed by a loud rattle from the engine bay when the clutch pedal is half pressed - its an expensive job to sort too.

You won't need to put your head under the bonnet to hear the noise maybe just keep the door open and press the clutch down to the floor slowly. My 55 plate cdti sri with 41000 miles on it is going in tomorrow to have the clutch and the Flywheel replaced under warranty.
I noticed the noise (like a rattle and change in engine tone) when the clutch pedal is about half way down to the floor.
Apart from this i've not had aby bother with the car in the 2 years i've had it.
