    Default Xenon Lights...

Ok, quick Q... I've looked through previous threads but still confused...

Non AFL Xenon lights, if your car doesnt have them, how easy are they to fit? Do you need any extra bits that arent in the headlamp?

I know you can do something with HID kits, but was wondering if it was just a simple case of changing the headlamps? Anyone actually fitted Xenon lights? (Not HID kits)

    Anyone? Cheers...

Merikkiitto retro-fitted factory fit xenons without having to wire up the level sensors (not the AFLs though)

go for a hid kit, simple to install and you wont be disapointed with the results and no need for sensors on the rear axle which adjust the beam level, depending on how much weight their is is the car, sounds a gonard ache to me.

Make sure when you get the Xenons they have the power pack bolted on to the lights. You can buy Xenon headlight replacements but they expect you to have the power pack from your own lights. Also so I have been told a complete pair of genuine VX Xenon headlights inc bulbs are well over £500 from the stealers. I was lucky getting mine on Ebay for £150 plus £20 postage (no one had bid on them!). The seller was rorycarz who is a member on the forum. Might be worth a pm?

You seen the ones on ebay too? Just though I'd tell you the aftermarket kits ARE Illegal, you have to have levelers......

Does the law say automatic levelers or just levelers?

So the standard headlamp units are fine to fit aftermarket HID kits in because VX use the same headlamp for Xenon and standard.
You need to fit headlamp washers, which I am trying to source at the moment.
And you need self-leveling motors which really is not an option due to the cost involved.

Not sure why they need self levelers when there is manual leveling fitted as standard, anyone know why?
