No mate when was that on?
its on now on dave (the mans channel) lol but they had the vec c on first![]()
Im not convinced by 5th gear, its too short and not really very interesting and they dont have the stig!
ha ha yea top gear much better but the lil ****** said the ****ing laguna un mondeo is better than the veccy c un they said the only "half decent" veccy c is the 3.0 diesel but i still wouldnt go near 1 he saidwhat a pr1ck!!!!
I only used to watch 5th Gear for a spot of VBH, grievous or otherwise, but have grown up now. It's too 'look at me! look! over here! we crash stuff!!' to be worth it. I don't need to see a 5-series and Granada in a head on to know it would be bad for both. I can't see how performing an Elk Test with another car on the roof would make any sense at all. In fact there are only two tests that I can remember that bore any link to real life - one was Jon Bentley doing the speed-bump thing, and finding that a Xantia is pretty good (well done Sherlock), and the one that really impressed was the guy who had created a safety street lamp which came down in a controlled way when hit (soo good was it that he drove the test car - Rover 820 IIRC - himself, whereas the regular lamp had to have a radio-controlled car hit it due to the carnage caused).
They are a bunch of wannabe Top Gear guys - trendy coffee place (is it trying to be the old-style biker cafe?) and - shock - their 'own (borrowed) test track.
5th Gear. Meh.
Oh, and he's welcome to the Laguna - that'll be the rest of us driving past him when its engine or gearbox fails - Renault are worse than mediocre, apart (of course) for the RenualtSport guys, who are mad as a fish, but in a good way! Mid-engined Clio anyone? I've driven the 5GT Turbo 2 before, which was highly entertaining but cramped - kept hitting the indicator stalk with my right knee.
But the only experience I've had with Laguna's involved auto boxes failing several times and the engines killing themselves with blocked coolant channels - one at 21k... Not a good brand.
At least the Mundano handles to the point of being entertaining.
