Default Tips for dealing with shoddy service from stealers

Send an e-mail to VX (GM) customer services, telling them what happened, and how you were treated.
    Vauxhall Customer Assistance [vauxhall.customerassistance@uk.gm.com]
The reason I say this is simple:
I had a service for my VVT engine which needs 5w-30 fully synth, and they didnt use it. I sent an e-mail querying what oil my engine should use, didnt even mention the stealers name, and the next thing I know the stealers called me to say that could I bring the car in so they could avoid any uncertantity as to what oil they used with a free oil & filter change.
    Coincidence?
I took the car back, was treated like a lepper, so sent an e-mail to VX thanking them for their customer service, and telling them how I was treated.
Next thing I get an e-mail from the garage with an apology.
    Coincidence?
Seems that there is more than one way to crack an egg..........

When you submit the email to VX Customer Service it includes your Vehicle details
Providing you have used a VX dealership, then the service agent details will also appear
I did the same, not mentioning the dealership, and VX responded that they had contacted the dealership directly

    Thumbs up

latest developement, had a customer service call from the stealers today.
Told them how I was treated when I returned the car, and what I thought of the aftersales, having not even given an apology when I returned. Got this e-mail:
Pleased to hear that your visit on Saturday was dealt with quickly.

I can confirm that the engine oil used is the approved grade, which is super synthetic, with a viscosity of 5W-30, part # for your records is 93165209. I fully appreciate your time taken for the repeat visit and the cost of the fuel to travel from Bargoed, and as a gesture of goodwill I am sending you a cheque for £20.00 to cover your expenses, along with a voucher for a 15% discount, redeemable against the cost of service and repairs (excluding bodywork)on your next visit to HQ.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

    Many thanks

    Nick Carter

    Poor service to excellent service??

Sounds like you got good service in the end with reasonable compensation.

    Good for you.

Yep, shame it took complaining to get it though!
