Default How can I get rid of alcohol smell from boot carpet?

    Chaps,

Had a bit of a party for my lads 1st Birthday on Saturday and I had load a few left overs of Bacardi and Whisky in the boot of the car.

Anyway, some donkey had left a few lids loose and some of the alcohol has dripped into the boot and it stinks of stale pee in there now!

I literally cant breath when I get in the car.

Im going to wash it over this evening with the usual detergent, etc, but what can I use to get rid of that foul stale smell as I washed the mat yesterday but it still reeks!?

    Thanks.

autoglym do a bio active cleaner... its more for getting rid of the smells than the stain.

We use it for milk, urine ..but yet to use it for beer..

We use the stuff in the car and in the house.

I need to get some ASAP as the stench is really terrible. Im not too fussed about any staining as the carpets full of cack anyway, its just the smell!

At the moment, I am giving the phrase "drink driving" a whole new meaning......getting sozzled on the fumes!

That's what I'd suggest - whip out the boot carpet and give it a steam clean.
