I have a 03' dti. The C in general is a great car and 2.0dti is good, but it ain't the quickest thing in the world, when fully loaded it struggles up hills. If i could go back i would of got a 2.2dti, but hindseights a great thing. Overall i'm happy with the car and economy, but it's all down to what you want out of a car.........

Dont go for a high miler.....some can be a can of worms with one thing after another, even with masses of invoices and receipts!

I looked at an elegance DTI too once and seemed really good, well spec'd too.

Haggle till the death though as there some crazy deals to be had. Juts to out you in the pic, I lost nearly £2k in 7 months on a Vec-C, so look around!

Just to add though, I went from a B to a C and now have gone back to the B!!!

    Bye bye Vec B

Trade price will always be higher, surely you could get a decent one for about £2200 - £2500 cash and the sell your's on?? I know its hassle but you would get a better deal.

Personally, keep looking, from expereince I am staying away from high milers! And on the DTI engine, I have heard that fuel pumps are troublesome at high mile's and are an expensive repair!

I have seen on the autotrader site, some CDTI's are advertised for about £3200 to £3400 with about 70-80k'ish miles!

Look for a 2003 2.2 DTI with no more than 50K miles on it (ie 10K miles per year)
Budget would be pretty much what you are looking at
If you start looking at 1.9 CDTI models, probably 2004, then increase by about £1000

You can usually haggle hard at this time of year, more so in the first two weeks of December
