As far as i am aware you cannot plug a aftermarket changer in to it. Your only solution would be to upgrade to the CCR2006 which has an in built 4 disc changer. Straight swap over for the cdr2005 head unit, only problem is they are about £400 from the dealers. They pop up on ebay now and again and they are appearing in the scrappers more often now. That's why alot of owners go down the aftermarket route. For between £200 & £300 you can get the latest alpines etc which are far superior to the Vauxhall units.

Word of warning..The CCR2006 is currently on back order at VX.. We've waited 8 weeks already for new stock to arrive..No scheduled date yet..

In your position i'd fit an aftermarket unit..

I'd be inclined myself to keep a standard-fit stereo in the car, surely a DIN-size stereo with a plastic blanking panel wouldn't look quite so good in the car? Has anybody done this? What's it look like?

I would deffo look at the aftermarket ones in response to Mark's reply. I had the ccr2006 in mine and it's sound quality is no better than the 2005. I fitted an Alpine prior to fitting my DVD head unit and the sound quality and looks were excellent.

I'll prob pop it out and put in a conventional headunit with a blank just to see how it looks. Although the cdr2005 does look the part. I'll just have to wait and see. Tanx people>
