EGR valve's / swirl valve's come up now and then on 150 along with turbo's, had my EGR replaced on mine as not to have a problem with it so to speak (warrant work and free)

There is big difference in performance between the two engines as standard.
The 120 is very similar to the 2.0 dti Astra I had before the Vec. The 150 flies. If you are going to do the same as Rich then it won't matter obviously but if you are leaving it standard I'd take a test drive in both. The 120 might be quick enough anyway.
120bhp with plenty of torque will be like a supercar compared to my Rover 414 that needs to be revved! If the 120 is more robust then it is an added bonus plus I assume it will have lower CO2 emissions and therefore less road tax? Perhaps it is negligible in the governmental scheme of things though!
isnt the 150 a six speed and the 120 a 5 speed??
^^ 120 6 speed too ^^
our tax is £145.00 a year....cheap enough to still warrant a smile when paying for it...
and with the tuning box on + a few other little bit's it has 167.5 bhp & 242lb ft torque...enough to piff of the boy racer's when you want to
steve.....................mmmmmmmmmm it need's it.......lol
150 is £145.00 too.
Rich you're a bad man.
