Default Rear View Mirror Blocks all View to Left

Hi Guys, Went out in the veccy today for the first time in a few weeks, I Normally use my other car for running around in,
The veccy is great to drive and since fitting the Pioneer Avic with amps and subs its a great to have my fave tunes on too,
    BUT
Why is it that I cannopt see anthing on my left hand side,
Its so much more noticable after driving my other cars most of the time,
I'm only 6ft 1in, yet the rear view mirror is so low that I cannot see half the road on my left hand side, The mirror is non shiftable, so I have to keep bending my head to make sure I am good to keep going,

Does anyone else notice this or have you all got used to it?

    Take Care, Bren

I have the same problem and it has always been Vauxhalls and not just the Vectra. I just bought an Astra and its the same mirror position.

I found my last car - Astra G - to be really bad compared to the Signum. Perhaps why I've never really found it a problem as it was an improvement over the Astra! lol

I find that too (6'2") - especially easy to miss cars just in front joining on sliproads. Seat lowered etc - not a problem in old Cavs, which had a double jointed arm (one at the windscreen end too) so could be moved up, down, forwards and back to compensate.
BUT at least I don't fit the satnav DIRECTLY UNDER THE REAR VIEW I pass too many with the shiny thing in the only clear bit of windscreen in the middle of the car (must kill night vision, especially as those who do this seem to have it on daylight setting when it dark). It's like they'd rather watch a little arrow on a drawing of a road than the real, actual road ahead.
