I take it that is on the cost of "today,s" road tax. " ie" I payed £210 this year and will pay £215 next year then £240 in 2010. Is that correct?.
If so that is good news.

    Default Road Tax Announcement

Alistair the Darling has gone and announced what he's gonna do with the road tax issue next year if anyone saw the news today. From what i heard and don't qoute me on this the original rises what were proposed to come in next year have now been revised somewhat. The really big hikes aren't going to take place now after all, although yeah there are gonna be some increases. We all know one thing for sure though, somewhere down the line we're all gonna get truly clobbered!

Whaaat? SO I'll be paying over £160 per year for mine in 2010? Speaking as a Yorkshireman, I find that hard to accept...

Mind you, he'll probably increase the extra 'soot tax' on diesels as well.
