Default K&N Filter and K&N Induction kit...

Can anyone tell me how they work and if these improve how the car works or runs?

How easy are they to fit?

    How much should they cost?

    Cheers!

    hi
most go with the k&n panel filter
induction kits are fine if you have a cold air intake pipe connected to it.
you need more cold air to increase power as cold air carries more oxygen than warm air.

k&n panel filter is about £45

try ebay for the panel filter about 40 quid plus postage, induction kits are ok if you have a v6 as they sound great but on any less of an engine it sounds like your mums stuck under your bonnet with a dyson trying to clean up.

    hi
the panel filter made a big improvement to my 1.8.
took out the flat spots and a little bit quicker of the mark.
you will get mixed views on improvement.
some say it better and some say no differance.
so it seams to be a try and see m8

yes mate it is in the how2 section, just remove the inner lower trumpet so it allow's more airflow, and when done disconect the battery for about 15 - 20 min's to reset the ECU then the car will re-learn the new parrameters,
