    Default Twin Fogs

Well peoples, I'm off to the states at weekend and had a thought last night, nothing to do with USA though. Twin foglights, done a couple of photoshops and was wondering if this would be possible, clearance, wiring, canbus and mounting. One for the techys on here to think about while I'm away. think it would look different if it could be done....

Be easy enough to take a feed from the original foglight wiring, but wire it through a relay for safety reasons, looks a great mod if you could pull it off, would have to use smaller fogs though, you wont get 2 the same as whats there, not enough room iirc.......

Do the Road Traffic lighting regs let you have daytime running lights at the same height as the fogs?

Otherwise they'd just be classed as fog lights

Hmmm, good point. But all the people who are currently selling aftermarket daylight lamps, seem to be displaying them on the packaging in or around where the fogs traditionally sit ie; lower front bumper???
I noticed some 'Ring' daytime LED's in Auto Express advert last week, and they have a feaure of switching on as soon as you put the ignition on, and they go off as soon as you turn the sidelights on. Maybe a similar feature could be used, although it could turn into a big job??????

The latest Audi A4 (and maybe A6) have daytime lights integral to the headlight unit (ala Volvo) and not at foglight level. Maybe MLC or someone else can enlighten us?

Could it be down to lamp power, lens type, output etc..?
