    Default Dual fuel

    Anyone got ant ideas?........
Over the last couple of nights, my 55 reg factory dual fuel Vectra has been switching itself over to petrol from lpg, even though there is gas in the tank. If I change the switch over to petrol for a few seconds, then revert to gas, it continues on gas for quite a while, then the samme happens again.
My theory is that part of the gas fuel line is icing up, especially with the recent cold snap, but any ideas are welcome.

is the gas in the pipes frozen or a smaller hole that lets the gas out then the car thinks its running out of gas so turns it back to petrol ?

My previous car was LPG (not Vauxhall) and I found in cold weather that I had to do at least 15 miles on petrol for the system to run smooth. I had to run on manual petrol to stop it changing too early to LPG and then switch over to auto once the 15 miles or so was done.

I think its the nature of the beast in cold weather if your only doing short runs it may not help.

Good idea, as the engine will warm up quicker also.
