anybody out there in there veccy world know which adjuster does what??
i believe the two outside ones do the vertical and the inner do the horizontal
There is small diagrams somewhere near them adjusters that tell u what one does what and what direction to turn them.
cheers, not saying i need planes landing on the car but they need to go upwards
My left full beam slightly points up/left/diagonal, as opposed to straight, it is easy to fix ?
according to the boys above its a hex key away from being sorted. hope the mot testers wearing welding goggles as hes gunna get a shock when my badboy arrives on the ramp.
Is it a warranty job ?
What you can do is park against a wall. Draw a caulk line on the wall across the top of the beam. Then turn the electric adjuster (the one on the headlamp switch inside) down two settings(assuming it was right up when you drew the line). Then under the bonnet manually adjust the beams back up to the line on the wall. Then when you turn the electric adjuster back up they will be higher, and you can always put them back down to the normal level with the flick of a switch.
I believe this has been mentioned before but; it may not pass the mot. Some testers will turn the electric adjuster all the way up, some won't. When you send your car to MOT turn the switch down two notches so the beams are at normal level. Then in the headlamps, pull the leads off the motors for the headlights. Then however you play with the switch, they won't be too high.
I take no responcibility for this if anything happens. Also I haven't done it to the vectra so I don't know if it would pull up errors or something without the motors attached.
