    Default LED bulb flashing problem

I have replaced my standard sidelight bulbs (501 i think) with white effect led bulbs and as expected i get the light error in my dash.
The bigger problem is for some reason when i either

unlock my car at anytime of day OR
turn the lights on then off OR
    lock my car

the led lights flash once every second for about 10 seconds???

In the dark this looks really dodgy & ill probably get pulled by a passing copper!!

Any idea why the lights are getting power????

The Vectra,s electrics don,t like LED,s it affects the bulb warning message too. There have been several threads about LED,s not working proporly on the Vectra.

Mine are doing the exact same mate, apparantly you can get resistors from maplin to wire across the side light wires that will solve the problem.

Yes because you have gone from a filament to a diode.

I had the same with mine. But I drive with my sidelights on all the time so I did'nt worry about it although it was a bit annoying having to OK the bulb failure warning all the time

If you go to maplins and buy 2 resistors (item L22R) and wire them across the s/light wires, they will cure your problems, well they have on mine, but you know how finicky a vec-c can be!

this is the link i got sent hope it helps mate.
