Default price of goods.. TV's..credit crunch

just been watchin news etc all day..and they are going on about the price of goods etc being driven down due to people not buying..
i'm particularly interested in getting a new tv... and seen some 1080p lcds and plasmas in 40" and 42" for £599..1 a samsung series 5 lcd..in currys i think..and a panasonic 42" plasma in comet.. what do you reckon the chances of them coming down any further before or after xmas.. or is it worth going getting one for these prices??..
currently have a samsung 32", which i've now decided isnt big enough for the living room!
    so what to do?

    http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...uct&sku=536063 thats the samsung..

    and this is the panasonic..
    http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...-_-panasonicTV

also seen a sony bravia.. for £599..but cant remember where now..

I ordered a tv from Amazon last week at £329 with free delivery,
back up to £379 this week. But you will probably get a better price if you can wait till after Christmas??!!

One interesting thing to be wary of is that with the value of the pound quite low (due to the 1.5% interest rate cut) the cost of imported goods may rise.

I was in the same boat couple of weeks ago but found a good deal then went for it as it was in the sale .it has now gone back up a few hundred quid , they will be cheaper christmas/new year but if you get one in the sales now you will still get a good deal ...
