Default Sump plug was a bit tight!!!!!

Just changed oil on my 1.9cdti and couldn't get the sump plug off at all. Mega tight. Started to shear the hexagon so ended up chiselling the thing off ! See pic's of my 'specialised tooling' ! Think I'll get one of those tubes that suck up oil through the dipstick tube next time.

Pretty standard - the new plugs are a different metal and don't shear off. The new type are yellow anodised.

What appear to be cracks are typical lines you get on an alloy casting, the sump is fine

It's usually caused by the grease monkeys using air tool to tighten the plug up after oil change ..can't think why they do this..all it needs is nipping up.
