    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

    Question ReMap and Tuning box?

Has anybody had a remap and tried putting a tuning box on aswell?

Reliability it not a major concern to me and they must still be factoring safety tolerances.

Bit pointless isn't it as the remap will adjust the fuel pressure in the rail as well as many many other parameters?

    Wouldn't see the point mate?

200bhp and 330lb-s torque sounds enough for me with the chocolate gearbox. Remember this is a 1.9 engine!

The tuning box just won't work very well if the car has a box.

i would imagine putting a box on after a remap would simply make he car overfuel (badly!)
so you wouldn't get an more power from that....if anything you would lose.

Well, if he wants to be a guineau pig I'm sure you box owners thinking of a remap will be curious about the outcome!?

After a remap the gains provided by a tuning box would be minimal on a 1.9 as the fuel pump and turbo are working to about 96% once a remap has been done. You would not really experince any benifit from the 4% tolerance that is left available.
