    Default Snobs

Was at a party the other day, talking with some people I had never met before... turned out to be nice, but snobs !

Conversation goes.... "so what car do you drive".... I said Vectra VXR

"Whats one of those".... so I go into all the work that I've done on it and Nurburgring etc etc....

"Well, its still just a Vectra isnt it !"

I give up with some people.... snobs - lol

Reminds me of something my eldest son said last week.
We popped in to see the grandkids and he was on the phone trying to get one of his employee's to pick him up from the garage where he was taking his Merc SLK AMG 5? or whatever it is in for service. Anyway I said I could follow and pick him up to save anyone coming from the works to do it, he sniedly commented he would rather walk than be seen in my veccie...concluding in nah its alright dad, but thanks for the offer. Not sure if he was serious or not, but needless to say I wont be offering the git again. He's quite successful, but he forgets that it was I who started the business in the first place.
He his most definately what you would call a snob!! His nickname with the guys who work for him is Mr Armani, I assume because of his suits. No sense whatsoever where money is concerned. Things that really matter in life, like an occasional phone call or a friendly chat he doesn't have time for. Totally lacks any humility or consideration for others.

Nobody buys A Vectra to impress people within their social circle or their Business contacts. My brother has a three series BMW as a company car it took him 20 miles as a passenger last week in mine to admit that actually it was quite good.

Would he have one? No chance. lol

Quite pathetic. Could kind of understand if it was a bright pink cadillac, but a vectra? Very understated, doesn't draw attention to itself - and that's one reason I like the cars.

You're gonna have to do what Mickey did and buy a VXR8, offer them a lift in it and when they ask what it is, say it's a tool for removing knicker elastic.

I'm betting they probably drive a 318i or a poxy 320d. Or an Audi A4 1.9TDi. You know, those "quality cars".

And the funniest thing is that the BMW 3 series is more common than the Vectra or Mundane-o.

Maybe we should just say we were looking to drive a more exclusive car

Anyone ever driven a 320d? I had the misfortune to drive an E90 320d a few months back. All the refinement of a Land-Rover Defender. The Defender is more comfortable too. Crappy suspension, gearbox out of an ERF, and the interior makes British Leyland look well constructed.
