Veccy Handling...

Well, I got my Veccy Sxi a couple of months ago, and was initially quite disappointed with the handling...


Then, I looked at the tyres and found I was riding along on a blend of Wanli and Ling Long...


I finally bit the bullet, and scrapped the budget sh!te even though there was LOADS of tread left on them, and had a nice set of Avon ZV5's fitted.

OMG!! What a transformation!!!


I have had some of the best handling family cars of the last few years ('03 Mondeo, '55 Pug 407 with ESP, '03 Laguna with Traction, ESP, and CSR understeer control), and can honestly say the Veccy is pretty damned close to them all.

Anyone who says the Veccy dont handle, is frankly talking out of their AR$£!!!!

No they don t handle as bad as some people say i ve driven worse handling cars ...

Yep... changed my NCT5s to Eagle F1s and OMG... it's a different car!

Why they ship the performance Veccys with such crap rubber is beyond me!

Just moved to a Vectra from a rear-wheel drive so it's taking a bit of getting used to but on balance I think it's fine. Just not used to the back end not swinging out on corners - personally I find understeer is harder to manage than oversteer.
