    Default Car Insurance

I Know this was talked about not to long ago but I cant find it.
Who would you recommend for car Insurance when your car is modified. I have been looking around and some of the prices are a bit silly and Adrian Flux said that I was high risk because I didnt have a job, I told them that I cant work yet due to a disability and That I am registerd disabled and there answer was still classed as high risk due to being unemployed, so I told them where to go.

Their thinking is obviously that the unemployed = short of money = more likely to put in a fraudulent claim. My Q is, how/when did an insurer ever verify what job anyone does? Do they ask for payslips when you make a claim? Nope.

As said Adrian Flux really annoyed me and after speaking with other insurers they all said that it was discrimination and is ilegal and totaly wrong in the insurance world. So if anyone is insured with these crooks hope you dont have any disabilities arise or become ill so that you have to give up work because they will rip you off big time.
Thanks so far for the names of Insurers to contact, but please I could do with a few more

You could make some cheap insurance out of this AndyPlay your cards right and Adrian Flux might be kissing your ar$e. Obviously that might be more of a pain in the ar$e than it's really worth

I'm with them as they were the cheapest, but I've yet to stay with the same insurer for back to back years. My personal approach is to buy a car magazine, Total Vauxhall, Autocar whatever it is and phone the insurers in the ad pages. It takes a while, but worth it for the money you'll save
