Creaking from front

Hi

My car is a 2004 2.2 direct.Noticed that when going over speed bumps or even dips in some roads (either and up/down movement or a down/up movement) that I am getting a creaking noise from the front.It is not a 'clunk' but definitely more like a 'creak' Car drives fine apart from this.What is it likely to be? Car at 57k on original shocks etc

Probably the anti roll bar bushes. Mine does it but only if both wheels go over the bump at the same time i.e. sleeping policemen - only if they are not sat in their cars though

Other likely suspect is the rad mounts - they're renowed for creaking. Easy enough to replace and the part is modified so that'll cure it.

Im hoping its the anti roll bar bushes as ive booked it into the stealers tomorrow to get them changed. The noise is getting really embarrasing!! Its not the rad mounts, thats a different sound altogether which I am also blessed with! They are charging just over £70 to change them and another £70 to change the bushes. I hope it cures both problems, then it will be money well spent.
From what I have read the anti roll bar bushes would be easy to change if access to the top bolts was better so i will let them battle with it while at the same time changing the air con condenser (Friday afternoon car!!!).

Quick update. I got the car back from the garage and they changed the rad mounts, but not the bushes. The mechanic said that the bushes rarely went and didn't change them, cos it must be something else. Had to book the car back in for "further investigation". Picked it up on Saturday (sorry forgot to post then) and it was indeed the bushes. 75 quid inc labour. They didn't charge me any extra for the "further investigation". I think they wish they had listened to me in the first place.
Now its quiet as a mouse....until the next fault!

The anti roll bar bushes creaking are a common problem on vauxhalls. Unless they are actually worn and clonking, you usually relubricate them with rubber grease and refit them. That was the advice from the local vauxhall dealer when i called them about a customers motor ages ago, have done loads of them since then, on corsas, astras, vectras, etc.
