Fooked GSi.

I was wondering how much my Vectra is worth. 52 plate red GSi. It has 1 years mot and a few months tax left. Lowered 40mm and has K+N induction kit. The rest is standard. Has a fooked engine (sound like a bag of spanners in a washing machine). Sounds like the big end bearings.

Any ideas or anyone looking for a toy to play with. Just too busy to fix at the moment.

id say 2k tbh.....how much is another lump??...can you fit it your self or would you have to pay out??....

What mileage on it Grommit to have a ****ed engine? Sounds like it's 100% had it?

Engine has done under 50k but i serviced it when i got it and found the oil filter had been squashed in the canister as it wasn't fitted properly and my friend diagnosed low oil pressure. It always sounded a bit tappety so just thought it was either the exhaust as it was always at 2500 rpm or a knackered hydraulic tappet. Don't know how long it had been like that but after i had covered 2 thousand miles it started to knock. I'm still looking for a replacement but not willing to spend loads or I might just rebuild the bottom end. Have to find out how much it is to get the crank reground and new shells etc. Im quite good at the machanical side and have rebuilt a few engine a few years ago.
