    Default Vec-B Eleccy Window/Locking Question

First of all, ADMIN-if this is in the wrong section, please amend, Thx.

    Guy's,

Im trying to find out if I can do a total closure of the windows on my Vec-B from the Remote.

I remember on the C that if I held the lock button down they would shut and vice versa with the open one. I know I can close them with the key held in the lock position, but was wondering if this can be done from the remote.

    ALSO:

Is there any way that the central locking can be programmed so that once you drive off it lock's the doors automatically. I think this would make the wife feel safer!!

    Thx in advance!

    And yes I know....."you cant turn a B into a C"!!!

remote closure / opening of windows from key fob is NOT possible, like on C.
Drive lock is also not a feature on B.

There are ways around this of course. I made a device on my old B that auto closed all the windows on first press of the key fob lock button and if the lock button was pressed again (for deadlocks) the windows would stop in whatever position they were. If I delayed the second press, they would go up all the way.

Drive lock could be enabled only by fitting an additional switch device.

If you put the key in the dook lock on the B and turn and hold it will close the windows and electric roof, if they are open, but the reverse will not open them.

This is quite correct and is tapped into for the total closure kit to work. Hence it only closes and doesn't open the windows.

You can actually make your own very easily. I used the delayed dim feature from an old Astra MK2 interior light. It takes about 6 seconds to dim, and the windows take about 5 seconds to go from full open to full closed.

Very simple indeed to do, just a few wires to connect
