    Default LMF and 314's

Just to say a massive thank you to Steve at LMF who, despite having no stock available of 314 brake upgrades, spent all day today sourcing all the required parts to put a kit together for me.

Rang me at 10.00am this morning to say he was working on it and then again at 5.00pm to say he'd got all the bits .

I know from reading some threads that certain members have got them cheaper than me but at £295.00 plus £15.00 P&P, I'm more than happy.

Steve did say that some of the components are getting harder to source (he didn't say which ones and I didn't pry) and that the intial take up a couple of years ago was a bit slow but now it's booming, in part due to Vectra-C.com.

I got the impression he'd be more than interested in a group buy but at what price I don't know.

So, thanks to LMF again and I hope all you others have the same service that I got when you order from them.

Oh, and my Opel grille @ £20.00 delivered from LMF looks the dogs nuts.

When I first read your post I thought, christ give me a chance, I only ordered the 314's a few hours ago. Then, as men do, I read it properly

Fitted in the dark today @ 4.30pm. Dropped a self tapper in the engine bay somewhere, hopefully it's not sitting on the auxillary belt .

If weather is good 2mrw, will put some pics up but boy does it make a difference.

After I phoned LMF and they said they didn't have any of the kits and didn't know when they swould be back in stock, I found some off a Saab 9-3 on eBay which I won for 225 squid. Second hand but look in good nick. Worthwhile upgrade at any price if you ask me....

I also mentioned to LMF that PartsforSaabs (PFS) had two sets in stock @ £399 plus delivery. Guess where PFS get them from?

As per some of my other posts, VX "forced" me in to this 314 upgrade due to their inept parts distribution and stock in the UK . If I want a brake seal kit for my 1990 Kawasaki, they're here the next day from 200 miles away by mail order.

    Default car cover

over the years i have used car covers unless you pay over £150 pounds for your cover they are a pain as you need security straps to hold it tight in winds x 4 the cover needs to breath and also have a soft liner so you dont get scratched paint . biggeoff

Well the brakes duly arrived at 3.00pm today (only ordered them at 5.00pm Wednesday) and was really impressed - wasn't expecting original OEM VX calipers, carriers, pads and discs. Thought Id at least get pattern discs

Very, very chuffed with the result. Just got to fit them this wekend in amongst the snow showers.
