repairing rear heated window?

Hi all,

I have an annoying single bar that does not work on the rear heated window right in the middle

I have had a very close look and can see a miniscule area of the element that looks damaged.

Is there anything on the market that you can recomend that might be able to to repair this

on an old car i used a very thin strip of tin foil dont know if that will work with modern cars

Buy the pen to join the tracks. I have seen a few of these failing recently...must be the time of year.

Just been searching on google and the pen seems a good bet.

I have just bought a cheap multimeter to pin point the break just in case its not where I thought it was.

Will let you know how successful I am with the repair

You should of taken a picture of where you think was broken. Zoomed in a bit to find the break.

i have used a paint like stuff from halfords before and that was fine

use some conductive paint from RS components, the type used for small/minor repairs to circuit boards.

Ive used this stuff before and its VERY good, just make sure you use masking tape either side of the line, and shake the bottle for at least a week to mix it up, paint it on, then leave for an hour and go over it again to make sure its cured fully

also you will need to clean the area with white spirit first to get a good connection

can second how good this stuff is. not used it for a window but used some to repair a psp slim other day. worked a treat and to be honest i doubted if it would work on something so fildy
