    Thumbs down ****** Fing Vectras

Im about at my wits end with my car!!!! Had the gearbox changed a while back and the other week it started clunking on the RHS side like an engine mount had gone. Spoke to me flat mate and he said it could be the recall defect for the spring. But anyway, tonight came round roundabout and put it into second then ........... nothing, no gears thrust bearing sounds like its ****ed, getting picked up tomorrow. Does anyone know if a recovery truck picks it up if it covered under the warranty for that. I was just getting back into the ol girl again then this happens, first proper purchase i have made in my life!!! My ****** Astra Belmont was more reliable than this!!!! Not a happy chappy!!!!!!

Oh dear, not a happy chappy at all - I can understand why.

If you have breakdown recovery, they would've taken it straight to the garage. Where is it now? How did it get there?

As for whether the garage will collect it, not sure to be honest. I'd need to flick through my Vx documentation to see if it mentions anything. Never really thought about it as I would get recovered in an accident/breakdown by my insurance/breakdown company.

I'll see if I can see anything in the Vx stuff.

If the recovery vehicle was booked through the vx dealer then you should be ok ... if it's a private vehicle that you yourself have booked, then you'll have to pay them.... then sort compo out through your vx dealer, if they indeed agree that it is covered by warrentee

Do you use Underwoods on Ipswich road, Colcester? Anyway, is the car new enough for you to demand a new replacement, I know two people who have done this, funnily enough they were both Fords LOL
