I thought it wouldn't work as its only 2 button and you need a 3 button.....

Iv changed my button functions anyway so that all doors open including the boot when pressing the open button, also all doors lock automatically @ 10mph and open when the engine is turned off! My misses has got one of these keys for her '07 Astra 1.6 Design, do u know if the facelift Veccy's use these keys also?

3rd button is only for the boot, and pressing the unlock button still unlocks the boot anyway. Can't see why the 3rd button can't be disregarded.

You could have a go at a bit of DIY.

Anyone idea how much a new 2 button flip inc tech2 would cost from the stealers please? Only got the 1 key so ideally need a spare.

You'd have been better off just getting the whole thing from a Vx dealer - around £65 all in - and you'd have got the three button flippy as well to match your car. Once you add the cost of getting a blade cut - which you certainly can't get done through Vx as they will only do the whole fob - and the programming then you won't be that far off the cost of a wholenew key from Vx.

If that flippy key you've got has already been programmed to another car then it's no use - it can't be reprogrammed to another car.
