Does the CD continue to rotate ( rotates all the time) when you press the O button on the steering wheel to listen to the radio instead, I thought I could hear the CD still spinning when I changed from listening to it and put the radio on. I have noticed that if the CD changer is not in the "slot" you can not hear the CD spinning ( obviously).

Yes Please Sir I would be very greatfull. It is the 4 CD carrier.
I have just been out and had another play. I had an idea. When you change from CD to radio the CD continues to spin. But if you switch the radio off "ie" get out of the car "etc" or switch it off on the on/off switch, when you start it again the CD is not spinning, just the radio on. It seems that the CD will continue to spin after use(radio on instead) untill you switch off the set, either by the on/off button or the ignition.

I can't help with the diagnostics, but you are welcome to the cart, just need to get it to you somehow now.

I was gonna donate it to the club to sell at a meet to go into club funds, so if it's not needed in the end I guess you'll do that anyway.

So what we need now is a member who can be somewhere near Pompey whose gonna meet up with others and wing it's way up to you, that or if postage isn't a lot I'll send.

Lets see if we can get someone to hitchhike it 1st, leave it a day or two, post shouldn't be more than a couple of quid anyway, so if need be I'll send anyway.

If i remember correctly my ccr 2006 never did this. If you switch to the radio i'm sure it used to stop the disc spinning. Altough it wasnt very often I used cd's as its one of the worst units i've found to play copied discs. I used to have problems with it not recognising the cartridge when you put it in.

I would have thought it would, so that when you toggle between radio and CD, it is ready to take up where you left off.

But then again, on mine, all I hear spinning is the CD rom for the Navi.

Sounds Logical to me Andrew. That is why I can not hear the CD spinning if I don,t "initiate" it first.
