You can do... Much safer and better just to use a decent fuel additive like Millers Diesel Sport 4 or change your fuel to V Power Diesel..
No VPower diesel around here so iv got standard Shell and a double dose of Millers Diesel Sport 4 at the moment and have been using for about 4 days. I was having bad trouble with juddering and the spanner light flicking on and off, so I cleaned the EGR VALVE and BOOST SENSOR then the injector plugs the other day. It has been fine until last night, so I just wanted to know was the safest and best way to clean the injector plug connections so to clear all the corrosion and dust from within?!
Electrical contact cleaner would be better than carb cleaner. No residue. Once plugged in I'd stick a bit of WD40 over them too, should keep water away.
parapaul, how does Miller's clean the connections to the loom on the injectors?
Paul was prob thinking about cleaning the injectors, and not concentrating too much on the word 'connector' - he's probably a bit tired.
You know something we don't Ste?
No, just that he may have finished work at 2pm.
M1 south was a bit busy this morning at J24 - J23A. Lots of emergency vehicles around at about 7am
