Vectra 1.9cdti 150. Drives Fine About Town But As Soon As Im On Motorway At About 70mph There Are Very Noticeable Vibrations Felt Through The Steering. Not Much Idea What It Could Be, Wheel Balance Done Not So Long Ago So Im A Bit Stuck....any Suggestions ? Cheers

The Vectra C is really sensitive to badly balanced wheels - I'd take it somewhere else, and ask them to rebalance the front wheels using 'fine' settings. This balances them to the nearest gram, rather than the nearest 5g.

Start with the cheap options first

The place I bought my tyres from for over ten years couldn't balance the wheels on my last Vec. Luckily a garage was recommended on here which is reasonably local and I asked them to balance them just as Paul suggested.

Perfect afterwards and the only place I will go to now.

I had this sort of problem (mine was more the steering wheel just penduluming subtly from side to side) at motorway speeds.

Had 2 new front tyres and a four wheel alignment and it sorted it.

Some cheaper tyres can go out of shape at speed, making them impossible to balance. I had a pair of Hankooks in the past that drove me crazy for going out of balance. End up I dumped them with 6mm tread left, put on a pair of Bridgestones and no problems after that at all.
